Once a year, more than 50 galleries throughout Berlin open their doors for three long days – a wonderful opportunity for art fans and collectors to experience the capital’s peerless creative scene.

The city of Berlin is famous for its high density of artists and galleries and maybe therefore it has evolved into a worldwide important art capital. The Gallery Weekend invites around 1.200 national and international curators, collectors and experts and attracts around 20.000 visitors from all over the world. Undoubtedly it can be regarded as one of the leading events for contemporary art in Germany.

In 2016 the Gallery Weekend will take place for the dozenth time and also in this year there will be seen positions of established artists as well as promising newcomers.
