This small and cozy restaurant on the banks of the river Spree owes its name to the great German poet, who ran the Berliner Ensemble at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in the vicinity.

Berthold Brecht and his wife Helene Weigel were regulars here, because they enjoyed good, solid meals like the Wiener schnitzel. The same goes for many actors who visit the restaurant today.
